The Associated Students of Folsom Lake College will be hosting the first ever Spirit Week from October 31st to November 3rd. The week is leading up to three home sporting matches (men’s soccer, women’s soccer, and women’s volleyball).
On Tuesday, October 31st, there will be a costume contest. Participants are asked to post a picture on social media using the hashtag #ThisIsFalconFun and tagging @asflclosrios to be entered to win a prize. There will also be a Men’s Soccer home game against Santa Rosa at 4:00pm where people can be entered into the prize drawing.
On Wednesday, November 1st, there will be a student Art Showcase in the quad. There will be live performances and creative displays of art from 11:30am to 1:30pm. A signup sheet for live performances will be in the Associated Students office (FR-106) until Monday October 30th at 5:00pm. From 1:00pm to 5:00pm, the College Store will have 20% off select apparel.
On Thursday, November 2nd, there will be another social media contest. This contest will be to take a picture with Falco (the mascot) and post it on social media with the hashtag #ThisIsFalconFun and tagging @asflclosrios to be entered into the prize drawing. Falco will be traveling between the three FLC centers between 10:30am and 1:30pm. Students can increase their chances of winning the prize by attending the Women’s Volleyball home game against Sacramento City College at 6:30pm.
On Friday, November 3rd, there will be three home sporting matches. Starting at 3:00pm, the Folsom Lake College Men’s Soccer team will take on Modesto. At 6:30pm, both the Women’s Volleyball and Women’s Soccer will take on Sierra College. All sporting matches are free with a student ID.
The contest drawing will be done after the Women’s Volleyball game on Friday. The winner must be present to receive the prize.
