The Falcons moved to 12-5 on the season after winning their first matchup against the Sacramento City Panthers this year. After losing their last game against American River,
Folsom Lake was able to steadily defeat the Panthers in four sets.
Freshman Caitlin Dillon led the team with 18 kills on a .306 hitting percentage. Kennedy Crawford and Maevaga Faraimo both had 19 assists to help propel the Falcons. The Panthers' Peyton Sorosinski had 33 assists while Jaylah Tate backed her up with 11 kills.
The Falcons were able to handily win the first two sets 25-22 and 25-16. The Panthers roared back from 4 points down in the third to keep the match alive but this only prolonged the
inevitable. Folsom Lake won the final set 25-19 to give them the W due to an
error on the match point by the Panthers.
With this victory, the Falcons were able to move 1.5 games behind the conference leader: San Joaquin Delta.
Earlier in the week, both soccer teams scored victories with the men beating Clovis 3-0 at home and the women’s team with a dominating 5-0 win at Diablo Valley. Before Friday’s
matchups, the Falcons sporting teams are a combined 3-0 during this years
